It's February 22 (2/22), the nyan nyan nyan day or the day of cats in Japan:)(ΦωΦ)
Booking Kirby Cafe
Next, how to book the notoriously tough Kirby Cafe reservation:) Nya-h! (meow in Japanese)
All official details are here:
https://kirbycafe-reserve.com/guest/tokyo/
Booking starts 10th of each month at 6pm Japan Time for the entire following month
Important note is the race starts 18:00 or 6pm JST on the 10th of each month for the following month! So, for April seatings, you need to be ready with your phone or laptop for March 10, 6pm... This 6pm notice is only written in the Japanese website, hahaha. I guess my job is to help other tourists get some local info;)
BTW, all seats will be gone after 10 seconds, literally. So, look at the reservation table beforehand to prepare. Check out the depressing all "x" screen below to understand why.
I have been taking on the challenge a few times and succeeded once. Go for a weekday to be more certain. Weekends disappear in seconds or less if you are unlucky. Just grab the first timing you touch. Don't hit return or go back to previous... Everything is gone then.
Aim for Cancellations!!
Another tip is to look for cancellations! If there is a rain forecast, perhaps some people will cancel! The tip here is to be persistent and check the schedule often.
Celebrating Birthdays
Bithday celebrations are cool! At Kirby Cafe you can get a free birthday coaster if it is your birthday month (Even if it was just yesterday, like for Feb.29, you don't get a coaster if you come March 1). However, they don't care about celebrating, so you can get the music and birthday message on your dessert plate regardless of your birthday date.
You must order a dessert!
As long as it is a dessert, they don't mind if they can draw it on the dessert plate. They just give you another plate!! You can add your name or not. That's an option. Getting a nice birthday music and happy birthday from the staff is an option too.
Don't forget to buy gifts too!:)
Of course, there is coffee.
That's your tree. Whispy Woods:) It gets snow in Winter.
There is a room for larger groups too.
Enjoy your stay!!!!!
